Community Huddle: events at other communities
Are you a moderator of a community and thinking of running an event? Are you a member that would like to see something happen? Are you maybe looking for ideas, advice, or a helping hand? Whatever it might be, plot/talk amongst yourselves in the comments. (Try to keep it to one subject per top comment, to make conversations easier to track)

Request Fest
I ran the [community profile] smallbatchicons Request Fest during an earlier 3W4D and it was a lot of fun. Definitely want to bring that back around.
*is a complete icon addict*

I've been struggling a bit with broken images in the layout though, I'll have to try and get that sorted.

April is National Poetry Month
There's a lot that can be done around that, even if 3W4D starts fairly late in the month (25th). Either starting earlier to run all month long (could even have the challenge/prompt post on the 1st and set the posting date for the 25th), or running something less time-intensive that starts on the 25th (such as a haiku event).

I'm still new and not 100% sure how the event will work (like, are activities expected to be posted here for everyone to try like for the Snowflake Challenge, or is it okay for comms/journals to do their own thing and then say here "hey we're doing something"? Or the latter isn't expected, things should just be tagged?)

Either way, hoping to run a rec fest over at [community profile] bnha_fans for people to create and share rec lists for Boku no Hero Academia fanworks! I made a first post to explain what I have in mind, we'll see how it goes. All BNHA fanwork recs welcome, and if anyone like the themes feel free to do the same for other fandoms elsewhere :)

Exactly this :) you can choose to just tag, or tag and promote, that's entirely up to you. Very happy to hear you've got something planned!

(People are welcome to run events here if they wish, so long as it's a broader scope - nothing fandom-specific. )

...Double-chekcing but before I accidentally break etiquette, promote means that making a new post in [community profile] 3weeks4dreamwidth that explains the activity and its location is okay? Or promote means leaving a comment on one of the existing posts? 🤔

I'm not the mod but [community profile] beautifulmechanical is hosting prompt-based song challenges for 3weeks4DW. This week's challenge is 'songs that make you dance.'
