Community Huddle: events at other communities
Are you a moderator of a community and thinking of running an event? Are you a member that would like to see something happen? Are you maybe looking for ideas, advice, or a helping hand? Whatever it might be, plot/talk amongst yourselves in the comments. (Try to keep it to one subject per top comment, to make conversations easier to track)

I already run 3 event communities here and am not looking to take much more on. But it would be good to know what DW's policies are as there are some communities that could be or used to be more active that just seem to be abandoned.

Best option there would be to create a new community, link to the previous community in the intro post, link to it in the old community if it has open posting.

Please add me to your list of 'new mods'! I'm not so much modding a community as squatting on it and attempting to revive it. But I'd love to be part of a group of people interested in revitalising communities.

In either case, glad to have more fighting to keep communities afloat :)

so many questions
Would a icontest challenge work for this? This one here: https://screen-icons.dreamwidth.org/10898.html
I posted the round on the 29th and it runs until the 16th so that's the correct time span, but I didn't want to tag it because it's a regular challenge, that I would have posted anyways, not special for the Three Weeks. Should I edit the post to add some info about three weeks and a link back to this comm and then tag it? The post won't be on the feed because it's a few days old. What if I post some screen caps at
By next week I'll have to put a new challenge up at
Re: so many questions
Anything happening exclusively on DW for the three weeks can absolutely use the tag, even when part of a regular posting schedule :)
Same for anything else you or anybody else posts exclusively to DW during the fest.
could I link back/tag that for Three Weeks if it ends after the three weeks is over?
Any challenge that goes up during the three weeks can use the tag, anything that goes up after the three weeks, I'm thinking no.
Hope that clears it up?
Re: so many questions
Yes, it does thank you! ^_^
