three_weeks_for_dw used to be a super fun time, with a whole flurry of activity. Let's bring it back \o/

Guidelines
+ Feel free to promote any activity you've got going for 3W4D, either in communities or hosted in your own journal.
+ As this is to celebrate the anniversary and promote activity at Dreamwidth, it is highly appreciated that content tagged for the event stays on Dreamwidth exclusively for the whole three weeks. (obviously nobody's setting the hounds on you)
+ Posts tagged with three weeks for dreamwidth (or threeweeks or three_weeks_for_dw) will show up in this feed :)
+ If you wish, drop a link to any content you post anywhere on Dreamwidth for this fest into this community after the start date, with a brief description of the nature of the content.

Glad someone is relaunching this!

One thing that ran in previous events was a post where people could offer to sponsor other people's paid accounts on DW. Is that being planned?

That's not in my personal plans, no. I think with money being involved it would freak my brain out? *hands*

If you or someone else would like to arrange it, that'd be fine though :)

(in the past when I've run events I've sometimes done a random draw of participants and donated some points that way. Might sneak that in.)

Sorry, I saved this to reply to and then forgot about it until things started rolling.

I'm not sure how that would be arranged though given that all posts happen in one's own account so it would need signal boosting? But I was thinking of something like this: https://three-weeks-for-dw.dreamwidth.org/9498.html

If it could be promoted via the community itself I'd be willing to set up a post to get volunteers to both commit to sponsor and then another to get people to offer to be matched.

Newb Question: Can I Subscribe to "this feed"

Is it possible to make the contents of https://www.dreamwidth.org/latest?feed=threeweeks appear on my reading page, along with everything else I subscribe to?

It doesn't seem to be a "feed" in the same sense as that term is used in the Dreamwidth FAQ, where the term refers to an RSS or Atom feed. And I couldn't find anything about the this type of feed in the FAQ.

You could maybe use a feed creator like fetchrss.com to build a feed out of the page and then subscribe to that. However, entries wouldn’t show up in the same way on your reading page (since it would be whatever fields fetchrss pulled), so I’m not sure if that would be an acceptable solution.
